MARCH, 2024

Heather Henry has joined the Aspen One team as the new VP of Housing & Childcare. Henry will elevate our efforts in these two critical arenas, build on the great work done to date, and drive even greater efforts to tackle these challenging problems for our employees. Learn more about the decision to add this position to the Aspen One team and Henry’s accomplished bio here.

Blake joined Aspen One in March 2024 as Senior Manager, Strategy Insights. Based in Denver, he’ll provide research and analytical support to the Strategy team and help drive successful projects across the organization.

Blake joins us from Dish Network, where he managed strategy and business planning for the company’s new wireless division and brands. Blake was born in Colorado but only recently moved back to the state. Prior to relocating from NYC, he worked for JetBlue Airways, focusing on product strategy and development, and PwC Management Consulting. He holds an MBA from the University of Virginia.

Blake is passionate about skiing, hiking, and aviation. He is (very) slowly progressing toward earning his Private Pilot’s License. When not enjoying the outdoors, he’s an avid fiction reader, live music lover, and enjoys exploring Denver’s restaurant scene.

NOVEMBER, 2023

Lanette Keever joined Aspen Hospitality in 2023 as our new Vice President of Human Resources for Aspen Hospitality.  Lanette is a seasoned human resources executive most recently holding the position of Vice President of People and Culture for the fast growing Graduate Hotels portfolio and previous to that leading the boutique and lifestyle division of Sage Hospitality as Regional Director of Human Resources for many years.  She has over twenty-plus years of HR experience in multiple industries and is passionate about building engaged cultures and providing best in class employment experiences.  Lanette is responsible for all Aspen Hospitality Human Resources efforts, including opening and acquisitions of new hotels.  Property HR leadership and hospitality talent acquisition report up to Lanette.  She is a Colorado native, who resides in the Denver area with her partner and three children and will work out of the Aspen Hospitality offices there. 

JS

Jacqueline has 10 years of combined HR and TA experience across many different industries from fashion, construction and most recently the medical devices industry. She has true passion for helping fellow employees and external talent land their dream job. She graduated from The Catholic University of America with a major in Educational Studies, with a focus on Foreign Education and a minor in Psychology. After college, Jacqueline lived in Italy teaching English prior to starting her HR/TA career. She will support the hospitality division and focus primarily on our Limelight Hotel properties.  She will work remotely from Golden, CO, while she, her fiancé Mike and dog Elsa plan a relocation to the mountains this spring. While not at work you can find her skiing, camping, hiking, rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles or hanging out with her Samoyed pup, Elsa.

 

Tim

Tim Bixler has joined the ASC Human Resources Department as the new Human Resources Coordinator. Tim is no stranger to Aspen. He spent 16 years here with roles ranging from ski patrol to ticketing, ambassador to trails crew to rental retail and race. Tim comes to us from Telluride, where most recently he served as Director of Recruiting and Housing for Telluride Ski Resort. He’s glad to be back in the valley and enjoys skiing, mountain biking, and anything in the mountains.

Grace Fox

Grace Fox is joining the Aspen One legal team as Corporate Counsel by way of a law firm in Nashville, TN, but she is no stranger to Colorado. Prior to her last 4 1/2 years in Tennessee, Grace spent almost 3 years working for firms in Denver and has a passion for the mountains and all that Colorado has to offer. Grace will be providing additional support across our business as we grow and will focus on providing legal support to IT, Brand, litigation, and hospitality operations. Grace is a graduate of the Notre Dame School of Law, has a masters degree from the London School of Economics, and earned her undergraduate degree from Washington University in Saint Louis. Grace is an impressive athlete with a love of tennis as well as skiing, so expect to see her on the courts around the valley as well as on the slopes. She is moving here with her two dogs and will be living in Carbondale.

The Residences welcomes Amanda Brent as the new Director of Housekeeping.Amanda joins us from the historic Hotel Clermont in Atlanta, Georgia. Previously, she also worked at Tyler Perry Studios, where she helped oversee the expansive 460-acre property, including 36 homes where the actors and crew would stay while filming. She always had Aspen in her sights and appreciates how welcoming the team has been. She likes housekeeping because no two days are alike and there’s always something new and different to learn. When not at work, Amanda enjoys making YouTube videos. Her latest project is a video on what to know when moving to Basalt, Colorado and the neighboring towns to try to reach a younger demographic who gravitate to videos and apps when learning about unfamiliar subjects. 

OCTOBER, 2023

Madison Joins The Little Nell / Residences team as HR Coordinator. Madison has a Degree in Political Science from Florida State University and has held positions in the world of politics as well as hospitality and lifestyle retail. Madison moved to Aspen two years ago and has made the Roaring Fork Valley her home. 

amanda carlson

Amanda Carlson recently joined ASC as a Payroll & HRIS Administrator, and she will be working alongside Dawn and Paige. Amanda relocated to Denver, Colorado, from South Dakota two years ago after graduating from the University of South Dakota. She spent the past two years as a Payroll Specialist for a staffing company working with multi-state contractors. Amanda will be based in the Aspen Hospitality office in Denver. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time in the mountains, hanging out with her roommates, sewing, and playing basketball. She is previously a skier but is looking to pick up snowboarding this winter. As this is no easy feat – feel free to send any tips and tricks for learning how to shred!

Von

Von has been in the hospitality industry for over 30 years and really enjoys being around people. Starting his career in Washington D.C., he has served in many roles throughout his career, including all hotel operational departments, General Manager and Vice President of Operations. Von opened the Born, now the Limelight Denver, in 2017 and loves the property and its team. He lives in Evergreen, CO with his wife Laura and his eight  year old son Aidan. He enjoys being in the outdoors, loves snowboarding and practices Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Ann

Ann joins the LLD team with 14 years of Hospitality experience in Los Angeles. Ann is motivated by the potential to foster profound and meaningful relationships within teams and with clients, as well as driving cultural progress through a lens of diversity and empowerment. She firmly believes that life is too brief to not find joy in one’s pursuits.

Alissa

Alissa Owsley is an RFV local joining us as a Cybersecurity Analyst. She has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Information Technology, 12 years of IT experience, and multiple industry certifications. Alissa is originally from Leadville and has work experience in a variety of fields, all of which are some form of fixing things from cars and motorcycles to people to computers. Alissa has a passion for learning, growing, and improving. Right now, she is learning ethical hacking, French, and how to parent a high school sophomore (Please reach out if you want to speak French, talk tech, or have advice on getting a teenager out of the house in the morning!) Alissa loves to travel, read, ski, and be outdoors.

Morgan

Morgan has joined ASC Marketing as the new Global Sales Marketing Manager. She’s already drinking from the fire hose and jumping into projects like the Vacation Planner.  Prior to being with Aspen Snowmass, Morgan held various project management and marketing roles at Upwork, Barrel, and FlowState Marketing. Originally hailing from Bend, Oregon, Morgan grew up ski racing and enjoying all things outdoors. She attended the University of Oregon and graduated with a degree in Business Administration. Go ducks! Morgan currently lives in Glenwood Springs and enjoys coffee, baking, skiing, biking and fishing. She will manage various sales marketing projects from paid media to collateral pieces. 

Sonya

Sonya Thayer joins the global sales team as Account Director, Group. Sonya is a highly motivated and award-winning sales professional with a track record of exceptional performance spanning over two decades. She possesses a deep passion for building connections,  delivering excellence and consistently surpassing revenue targets even during challenging economic cycles for Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Marriott International and most recently Hyatt Corporation as a Director of Group Sales. She brings a deep knowledge of the destination, our competitors, our customers and sales expertise. Having lived in England, Canada and the United States, Sonya was bit by the travel bug early and loves exploring new places and cultures. She and her husband Kenny are parents to two teenage daughters Kailey & Makena who enjoy camping, wake surfing, hiking and skiing together. Sonya started her hospitality career decades ago in Aspen and I’m thrilled to be welcoming her back home. 

SEPTEMBER, 2023

Mara Fossum

Mara Fossum has joined us as an HR Systems Analyst on the IT Business Applications team. In this role, Mara will be responsible for day-to-day systems support for HR, Payroll, and integrations to internal systems and external vendors. If Mara’s last name sounds familiar, it is not a coincidence,  Leah Fossum is her sister.  Leah will now be supporting the Mountain Application team in a developer role.  Mara is a graduate from North Dakota State University with a double major in Information Systems and Marketing.  She recently worked for Microsoft as a program manager.  She has been living in the valley for the last 4 months and taking to all the outdoor activities quickly.  Mara is a runner who recently completed the Aspen Valley Marathon. She also has started to take on mountain biking and most recently downhill biking for the recent IT all-hands time recently.  Mara is also a skier who is really looking forward to the upcoming season.

Ross Hastings

Ross has returned to our company as the new Sign & Graphics assistant for Aspen Skiing Company.  After graduating from CU Boulder in 2014, getting deeper into the mountains was the first order of business.  He moved to Aspen in 2017 as a ski instructor and hasn’t looked back since.  Ross has a background in talent acquisition, being an original member of the TACO team.  Raised in California, He has spent the better part of the last decade skiing and riding in Colorado.  An avid mountain biker and skier, you can find him out on the hill most days whether that is for work or play.

Paige Parker

Paige is the new Director of Payroll & HRIS. She was born and raised in Colorado and graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting. She is a strong payroll and accounting professional with over 8 years mutli-state payroll processing and accounting experience as well as experience in managing and/or implementing various HRIS systems for over 4 years. Her most recent position was Payroll Manager at a mobile gaming company called Jam City. Paige enjoys photography (families and portraits mainly), traveling, hiking, board games and spending time with her husband and their two mastiffs, Maloy and Roxy.

Brenn Scott

Brenn Scott has been hired as our Executive Recruiter for Aspen One, ASPENX, Mountain Operations, and Aspen Hospitality. She has been in talent acquisition for 13 years, spending a bulk of her career recruiting in the marketing, sales, and creative verticals while also specializing in G&A. She’s passionate about candidate experience and creating amazing onboarding processes that delight new employees. She previously owned her own marketing-focused talent acquisition firm and consulted on placing executive-level roles, refining interview processes, and designing onboarding experiences. When she isn’t recruiting, Brenn can be found volunteering her time at regenerative agriculture organizations, putzing around her own land, undertaking construction projects with her partner, playing ice hockey, or playing the pitcher for rousing games of fetch with her red heeler, Yoti.

Linda Cooley

Linda Cooley joins Aspen Skiing Company as the Vice President of Human Resources. Linda’s career spans over 20 years in every aspect of Human Resources. She comes to us from the Pebble Beach Company, where she served as the Vice President of Human Resources for seven years. While there, she implemented their first human resources information system (UKG, the same as ours), streamlined the employee experience, realigned human resources across the company, and successfully guided her team and company through all the challenges presented by COVID-19. As a member of their senior team, she oversaw human resources across all business functions including Golf Operations, Hospitality, Food & Beverage, Events, Retail, and all Shared Services.

Prior to Pebble Beach, Linda served as Director of Human Resources at Montage International where she worked on the leadership team that opened Palmetto Bluff, Kapalua Bay, and the first Pendry  properties. In addition to guiding the corporate and local teams to drive culture, service standards, processes and values, she led the implementation of new HR technology systems and developed and rolled out new onboarding and training processes. As Director of Human Resources at Montage Deer Valley, she developed human resources initiatives around training, benefits, payroll, compliance, and employee relations. Linda began her career in Human Resources at Park City Mountain Resort and Skullcandy. She is an active member of the Society for Human Resources Management with Professional Human Resources Certification and also received a Diversity and Inclusion Certificate from Cornell University in 2022. She earned her undergraduate degree from Colorado State University in Natural Resource Recreation and Tourism, and she’s excited to return to Colorado and the ski industry.

When not at work, Linda’s passions include skiing, mountain biking, surfing, and playing outside with her husband and dog daughter Sissy (age 14), who rules the family. She enjoys volunteering and supporting local organizations that are passionate about the outdoors and preserving our pristine environment. This winter she’s looking forward to exploring uphill adventures—if you’ve got any advice, send it her way!

Melanie Stalzer

Melanie is a seasoned sales and marketing professional with over two decades of experience developing strategic marketing plans, driving sales and cultivating lasting client relationships.  Her professional journey has seen her as the part of teams from many industry-leading organizations.  She has been responsible for many innovative and successful event activations and sales initiatives that have garnered her a solid reputation as a dynamic leader in the ski and hospitality industries.

On the personal side, Melanie was born and raised in Steamboat Springs where she has honed her passion for the outdoors.  She and her husband, Steve, are parents to their furry kids: Zeke and Mike, the happiest yellow labs around.  When she isn’t working, you will likely find Melanie hiking, camping, skiing – really anything that gets her outdoors…and, as a graduate of University of Colorado, Boulder – she is all in on Coach Prime! #skobuffs

Carly Arthurs

A warm welcome to Carly Arthurs, who joins the Element 47 team as Restaurant Manager from The City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia. Her passion for hospitality manifested early in her life; serving at a BYOB Thai restaurant at fifteen years old in Phoenixville, PA . Carly’s undeniable affinity toward hospitality grew at St. Joseph’s University, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Marketing and Managing Human Capital. During her time at SJU, and after graduation, she became the youngest Food and Beverage Manager at the prestigious Merion Cricket Club in Haverford, PA. Following that opportunity, she managed two high-volume outlets at “The W” in Philadelphia, an opportunity that propelled her into the hotel world. Carly is thrilled to join The Little Nell team in beautiful Aspen, and cannot wait to learn and grow within this exciting opportunity. 

Caroline Hodge

Caroline Hodge is the new front of house manager at Ajax Tavern. From Houston, Texas, she’s been in Colorado over 12 years now. Volleyball is what initially brought her to Colorado. She played at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction while studying business. Hospitality has been her passion and choice of career for about 10 years, most of which being in Food & Beverage operations at hotels. Her first Restaurant and Bar Manager position was with Hilton, then Hotel Colorado holding the same title. Most recently she was AGM of a Marriott property in Glenwood Springs. She’s excited to be back in F&B full time and looks forward to learning more and growing with the team here with Aspen Ski Co!

Ryan Koehler

Ryan Koehle recently joined Element 47 as a manager.  He has 20 years of experience in F&B in the restaurant, catering and hotel industries. In addition to work, he’s taken an active role in many non-profit organizations.  He loves photography and hikes with his Corgi, “Corky.”  Being somewhat of a wanderer, he’s lived in an array of stunning locations, including Santa Cruz, California, Alaska, Washington, and Hawaii.  

Tanner Crow

Tanner Crow is the new Assistant Manager for Element 47. He was raised in Roswell New Mexico, where he spent most of his childhood exploring nature. He began working at age 13 making sandwiches and hase worked in restaurants ever since. After graduating high school, he moved away and took his first job in luxury service. He has enjoyed seeing the country while working at four Relais and Chateaux and Forbes Five Star resorts. He’s very excited to return to The Little Nell and continue to use his passion for luxury service.

AUGUST, 2023

Johnathan Ho

Johnathan will be joining our executive team at Aspen Hospitality. He is an experienced VP of Finance with a demonstrated history of working in the hospitality industry. He is a strong finance professional skilled in budgeting, analytics, coaching, hotel management, and accounting. Johnathan has been most recently the VP of Finance for Marriott Vacations Worldwide. Previous to that he worked as VP of Finance for Vistana Signature Experiences, formerly Starwood Vacation Ownership. With SVO, he spent thirteen years as a VP and Managing Director of Finance. Johnathan will be reporting to Alinio and will start the week of July 30th. He will be spending the next month here in Aspen to get to know the team. He and his wife Christine will be moving officially to Denver from Orlando, where he will be based permanently at our Aspen Hospitality office.

Jess vysoky

Jess Vysoky is joining us as the HR Manager for the Limelight Aspen. Jess has worked in Human Resources for United Airlines, Amazon and Whole Foods Market with over 6 years’ experience. Her hobbies include road biking, (easy) hikes, knitting and reading fantasy novels.

Kyle Bruna

Kyle Bruna has been hired as Aspen Snowmass marketing’s new Assistant Social Media Manager. Kyle grew up in good ol’ Carbondale, Colorado (ever heard of it?) and has been immersed in the social media landscape for over six years. Spending much of his career at agencies, he’s managed social channels for partners like Mountain Collective and competitors like Ski Utah. Along with being involved in the ski industry professionally, he’s been skiing Aspen Snowmass since he was just three years old! He’ll proudly tell you that he was once a Powder Panda and even appeared in some of our 2022-2023 photoshoots. 

 While Kyle has spent most of his life in the Valley, he cruised to the front range to attend college at CU Boulder where he received a degree in Strategic Communications and minor in Technology Arts, or in his words “advertising with some coding, design, and photography.” Aside from creating content for TikTok trends and executing our day-to-day social media strategy, you’ll likely find him mountain biking, skiing, camping, or building Legos. Other fun facts about Kyle? He’s an only child and just set a personal record biking up North Rim while working the Audi Snowmass 50 this weekend (nothing motivates you more than knowing John Gaston could be cruising around the corner any minute)!

Ali Vetter

Ali Vetter is joining the Aspen One team as the Product Developer & Analyst for ASPENX. She was raised on a small dairy farm in central Wisconsin and graduated from UW-Stout with a B.S. in Apparel Design & Development. After graduation and a summer internship in NYC, Ali moved to Carbondale in 2018 to pursue a career in Product Development with Obermeyer. After 3 years with the company, Ali and her husband moved into a self-converted sprinter van and travelled the US with their pup, Scout, in tow. After nearly 1 year of #vanlife, she is thrilled to be back in the valley supporting the ASPENX team and making top notch product. In her free time, Ali enjoys mountain biking, hiking, skiing, reading, and various sewing projects. 

Mara Willner

Mara (pronounced like Sarah) Willner joined the Limelight Denver team as Director of HR in late July after almost 7 years with Anheuser Busch. Her most recent post was People Manager at Breckenridge Brewery. There she supported nearly 500 employees between Littleton and Breckenridge, both front and heart of house staff. Previously Mara was part of Johnson and Johnson’s Talent acquisition Co-Op in New Jersey. And prior to that, she earned her BA in Human Resources Management and Services from Rutgers University. Mara is a Chapter Advisor for BBYO, where she’s been for the past 6+ years supporting and helping inspire Jewish teens to get more in tune with their individual identities through 4 core values – inclusivity, Jewish identity, active leadership and tradition. At work, Mara holds true to being a present and engaging leader around her teams. Mara reports to Keith Siebenaler, GM for the Limelight Denver.

JULY, 2023

Jennifer Belmont

Jennifer Belmont is a Florida native and graduate from the University of South Florida. After college, she started her career in hotels at The Thompson Seattle as a Restaurant + Bar manager. After living in the Pacific Northwest, she moved to Napa to work as a Beverage Manager and eventually Assistant Director of Food & Beverage at Silverado Resort and Spa. She also has recently served as the Director of F&B Operations at Brush Creek Ranch and Director of Restaurants at St. Regis Aspen. She loves the outdoors and mountains, especially in the winter for ski season. In her spare time she likes to cook and learn about wine.

Kate Lemay

Kate is the new Director of Data and Analytics and is excited to partner across the organization to drive value from data and analytics. A lifelong outdoor enthusiast, Kate loves to ski, snowboard, kayak, mountain bike, and hike but she’s equally passionate about number crunching.  She was previously Director of Enterprise Data & Analytics for an energy company where she designed, built, and scaled an enterprise analytics program. She holds master’s degrees from the University of Michigan and Elmhurst College in Industrial Engineering and Data Science respectively. Kate currently lives in Monument, Colorado where she spends time adventuring with her 3 and 5 year old kids and husband.

JUNE, 2023

Inga Beck
ASC welcomes Inga Beck as the new ASPENX Digital Marketing Manager. She’ll own strategizing and implementing across our digital channels, including e-comm, e-mail, and SEO/Paid Media. Inga comes to us with over a decade of experience in Digital Marketing. She’s worked with over 50 different organizations, both on the brand and agency side. Her most notable clients include Nau Clothing, Bike Tires Direct, and Travel Wisconsin. She’s an avid mountain biker, guide, and instructor, including working with the International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA) as part of their Subaru Trail Care Crew program. In this role, she traveled all over the western United States, Alaska, and Canada teaching trail building clinics, working with local land managers and bike clubs. She will fit right in on the trails in Aspen Snowmass! When not spending time on her mountain bike, Inga enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and photography. Inga is based in California. 
Marlaina Murphy

Welcome to Marlaina Murphy, our new Sustainability Manager with Aspen Hospitality! Marlaina grew up in upstate New York, and has always had a passion for nature and the outdoors. She began working in the restaurant industry at a young age, and has held various positions in front and back of house for over 10 years. She received her bachelors degree in Hospitality Management from Penn State University in 2018. After graduating, she worked as restaurant manager for a few years. During this time, she started to realize the negative impact that most businesses in the hospitality industry have on our planet and everything inhabiting it. After thorough research, she implemented sustainable initiatives to reduce the restaurants environmental footprint. Her passion for preserving the natural environment and mitigating the effects of climate change grew, and she decided to go back to school to deepen her understanding of these issues and learn potential solutions. She graduated from The University of Colorado Boulder’s Masters of the Environment program in May of 2023. Marlaina is so excited to apply her skills and experience to the hospitality division of Aspen Ski Co., and help them achieve a memorable guest experience in a sustainable way.

 

Kam Bozich

Kam Bozich is our new Director of Marketing Operations & Analytics and will focus on driving digital transformation across all our brands. Previously, she was with Vista Outdoor, where she was Senior Manager, Loyalty & Retention Marketing, leading loyalty and CRM strategies for a portfolio of outdoor brands. Kam also spent seven years with Chipotle Mexican Grill, where she was Senior Digital Marketing Manager responsible for leading mobile and digital initiatives as well as direct-to-consumer marketing programs. Her career in hospitality and the ski industry began 21 years ago where she spent over four years working for Vail Resorts, leading digital marketing and eCommerce efforts. She has both in-house and agency experience and has been involved in local non-profits in Eagle County for the past eight years and held board advisory roles for the Vail Local Marketing District as well as Leading Real Estate Companies of the World.  Kam has over 25 years of digital marketing, eCommerce, CRM, loyalty, and mobile marketing experience. She is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder and currently lives in Eagle, Colorado where she enjoys skiing, fishing, playing golf and Pickleball and spending time with her husband, 9-year-old daughter, Avery, and their yellow lab, Stella.

Joe Peters

Joe Peters has joined ASPENX as the Senior Director of Marketing. Joe will lead ASPENX marketing and channel strategies for the ASPENX brand. Additionally, Kristen Whitaker (Dir. of ASPENX marketing), Inga Beck (new ASPENX Digital Marketing Manager), and Susan Dickinson (Dir. of Sales), will report directly to Joe. Joe  joins ASPENX from 10+ years in marketing at Red Wing Shoe Company.  Previously, he had roles at Target Inc within merchandising and Abbott Laboratories within category management, sales and marketing.  In addition to being the Director of Marketing for Vasque, Red Wing’s Outdoor Performance footwear brand, he also led special projects across Red Wing Heritage that included numerous global collaborations.  Joe and his family (wife, Kate, son, August (7), daughter, Bennett (5)) reside in Saint Paul, Minnesota alongside their trusted Labrador retriever, Winnie. While he’ll be based in Minnesota, he will be visiting often to fully embrace the Aspen life! In his (albeit limited) free time, Joe is an avid cyclist – annually embarking on a 350 mile ride from his home to the Minnesota/Canada border.

APRIL, 2023

Josh
Josh Rosenberg joins The Little Nell as Director of Operations. Bringing over a decade of luxury hospitality experience and substantial tenure in many luxury markets, Josh will oversee the entire hotel operations. Josh’s leadership style epitomizes that of being nimble, creative, inspirational, and innovative, which will lead to his success with us in years to come.  His hospitality background reaches us through Mandarin Oriental, Fairmont Hotels, and the last 10 years with Four Seasons. He will oversee Food & Beverage, the Rooms Division, Housekeeping and Engineering. 

 

Faith Waters

Faith Waters started with the Digital IT team in April as the new Digital Product Manager for Aspen Hospitality. Faith will be assisting with website development needs, including  the Limelight Hotels pages and a full redesign this summer.

Faith comes to ASC with 4+ years of experience strategizing and leading digital projects.  Faith is originally from Cincinnati, OH and moved temporarily to Denver, CO, for ski season 3 years ago. She will be working remotely from Denver, making trips up to meet with the team once a month.  If you happen to make your way down to Denver or Boulder as we open our newest Limelight locations, be sure to reach out!

Faith loves to be outdoors during all seasons and enjoys snowboarding, hiking, camping, and fishing. When she isn’t in the mountains, she is likely at a pottery wheel, attending a group workout class, or getting a lot of answers wrong at trivia nights with friends. You can also find her in the kitchen especially making focaccia bread. 

MARCH, 2023

Russ Craney

Russell Craney has been hired as the new Limelight Snowmass GM. Russell, also known as Russ, has long roots in the ski industry, having competed as a professional mogul skier from 1995-2000. He has resided primarily in the Vail Valley for the past 20+ years.  Russ knows Aspen as well, having filled the role of Assistant General Manager for the Hotel Jerome back in 2007-08.  Russ was most recently the General Manager for the Vail Residences at Cascade, a Hyatt property, was Assistant General Manager for the Vail Cascade Resort and Spa, and filled the role of General Manager for the Osprey Hotel in Beaver Creek.   Russ has a strong food and beverage and overall operational expertise in all aspects of our Limelight resort properties, and we are excited to welcome him on board. 

Sarah Morgan

Aspen Hospitality is pleased to welcome Sarah Morgan as the new Vice President of Hospitality & Brand Marketing. Sarah has spent most of her career in integrated marketing for residential, commercial and most importantly, hospitality real estate development. She has been critical in the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies for branded residential and mixed-use hospitality properties, including Mandarin Oriental Residences, Fifth Avenue and The Raleigh, A Rosewood Hotel & Residences. Sarah lives in New York with her husband and young daughter and will be splitting her time between New York, Aspen, and our hotel markets.  She reports to Gabby Cohen and Alinio Azevedo.

 

Stephanie Graham

Stephanie is the new Executive Assistant to ASPENX and will report to Allie Kovall. She comes to ASC with an extensive professional background in real estate, mortgage lending, and banking. Raised and currently living in Grand Junction, she seeks out experiences that surround her with fresh air, nature, and adventure. She’s excited to spend more time in the Roaring Fork Valley with her husband, children, and dog and appreciates any trail recommendations you have for her. We are thrilled to have her join the ASPENX team.

Claire Smith

Claire Smith joins ASC as the Senior Groups Sales Manager for Limelight Aspen and Limelight Snowmass. Originally from Chicago, Claire moved to Snowmass Village in 2001 for the ski season and never left. While in the valley, she has spent her time working in marketing and sales for the hospitality and property management industry. She spent the last 8 years at Frias Properties of Aspen as their Supplier Relations and OTA Account Manager. Claire is excited to be a part of the Limelight Hotels Groups team. She lives in Snowmass Village with her husband Damien, and 7 year old son, Raylan. In her free time she loves to ski, hike and cook.

Susan dickinson

A warm welcome to Susan Dickinson who joins us as the Director of Sales for ASPENX. Susan has been in Aspen for 32 years.  She has extensive experience in luxury sales and events and marketing with The St. Regis, Ritz-Carlton, The Little Nell and more.  Susan’s experience includes marketing new luxury properties including Snowmass Base Village with Related Companies, The Ritz-Carlton Club, Aspen Highlands and The St. Regis Residence Club.   Susan loves skiing, hiking, tennis,  paddleboarding and values the arts & culture.  You can find Susan enjoying these activities with her golden retriever rescue,  Mischa.  Susan recently completed her real estate license and is a Broker Associate with Douglas Elliman.  

FEBRUARY, 2023

Geoff Buchheister

Geoff joined the Aspen Skiing Company team on March 1, 2023 as CEO. He oversees all winter and summer mountain operations, including revenue centers such as Mountain Food & Beverage, Four Mountain Sports, and Mountain Sales and Schools. Geoff has a long history in the industry, great experience in multiple locations, and a true passion for the sport.  He understands the importance of long-term planning, community relations, and the vital role employees play in delivering to guests a world-class experience.  Geoff joined us from his previous role as Chief Operating Officer at Whistler Blackcomb, the largest resort in North America, where he had been since 2019.  For the full announcement of his hiring, click here.

Julie Frank

Aspen Hospitality welcomes new VP of Design, Julie Frank. Julie is the latest addition to the Aspen Hospitality development, design and construction teams, building on the great work that has been done over the past three years. Julie will work alongside the team in place as we continue to advance new projects and plan renovations to our existing properties.

She is a hospitality design professional with over two decades of experience leading the strategic vision, narrative conception, design and in some instances branding of hotels from select-service to full-service & luxury properties globally. She has in-depth knowledge of construction, design and procurement practices having worked on the agency, brand, owner and operator sides of the team.

Julie has worked most recently for Highgate Hotels in New York as their SVP of Design. She also has worked for JCF Design and Consultancy, the Rockwell Group and Starwood Hotels in both New York and Europe throughout her career. She began her career by becoming top in her class and earning her graduate degree at the University of Witwatersrand. Outside of her experience and education, her impeccable taste, attention to detail and business savvy are key elements of her professional trajectory. She has an amazing portfolio of work and has won various awards for her designs. She will be starting on February 6th, working remotely from New York. She will have an opportunity to make her way to Aspen soon to meet everyone in person.

Haley Bain

Haley joins ASC as Assistant Marketing Manager, primarily helping out with Revenue center marketing, event social coverage, and website assistance. Haley has been living van life for the past year working remotely as a freelance marketing and social media manager. Originally from the East Coast, Haley attended the University of South Carolina, where she studied advertising. After traveling around the country surfing, hiking, and of course skiing, she was ready to settle down with her pup Kyle (an adorable husky) and girlfriend Morgan. The stars aligned and she was able to find housing in Emma. She will be up on the third floor with the rest of the team.

 

JANUARY, 2023

Forrest

Forrest Barton is the new content creator, editor, camera person, and all-around creative type for our Marketing Team. He hails from Colorado, a recent graduate of Colorado State University’s Communications Program, where he also ran track.  Forrest has honed his skills filming and editing for companies like Adidas, Camp Stove, Canon, and Smartwool, providing creative conceptualizing, filming and editing of marketing pieces, athlete profiles, and educational videos.  He likes to talk about cameras, skiing, uphilling, trail running, mountain biking, video gaming, Game of Thrones, urban farming, long-format short movies and scriptwriting silent films, oh, and his girlfriend.

Alisa is excited to officially be joining the Aspen Skiing Company family as the new Corporate Wellness Manager for the Total Rewards program. She previously worked under The Steadman Clinic and has run the ASC-MBS Program for over 9 years. She has a BS in Health and Exercise Science from The College of New Jersey and a MS in Nutrition and Public Health from Columbia University. In addition, Alisa has many other certifications such as her level 2 FMS, CSCS for Personal Training, Health Coaching, Life Coaching, Yoga, Pilates, Pronatal for Pre and Postnatal Fitness and much more. She is excited to be using her extensive nutrition and exercise background to help Aspen Skiing Company employees reach their personal health and fitness goals.

Taylor

Processed with VSCO with j1 presetTaylor, a Texas native, joined ASC in December 2022 after graduating from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Resource Development. With a passion for people, Taylor is very excited to be a part of the Hospitality team as the HR Coordinator at The Little Nell. Prior to working in Colorado, she had many jobs in the service industry, mainly in private staffing. Taylor is thrilled to continue growing her HR career and is looking forward to building relationships with employees, advocating and assisting them in their needs. In her free time, you can find her chasing after the sun and snow. Whether climbing or skiing, she thrives in the outdoors. In addition to answering questions related to HR, she’d be happy to discuss her favorite recipes or her music obsessions!

Ben Eagleton

Welcome to Ben Eagleton who joins the marketing team as the new Digital Marketing Manager — eCRM & paid media. Ben joins ASC from Mammut North America where he worked in digital marketing, campaign strategy, and partnership management. A Colorado local and lifelong skier, Ben grew up in Winter Park and Mary Jane. He has volunteered as a sit ski coach at Oregon Adaptive Sports. In his spare time, he enjoys ski touring, fly fishing, jamming at bluegrass concerts, and crushing bumps on the mountains with friends.

Claire Jeffries

Claire joined ASC in 2022 and oversees Forbes training for employees at TLN and Residences at TLN. Prior to joining ASC, Claire managed leadership and career development initiatives for the MBA Program at North Carolina State University and the Industrial/Organizational Psychology MA Program at Meredith College. She also has experience in recruiting, career coaching, event planning, and program management. Claire has a B.A. in English, an M.A. in Higher Education, and is a certified Authentic Leadership Coach. She moved to Aspen this summer from Raleigh, NC and loves exploring the Roaring Fork Valley with her family. When she’s not at work, she loves to read, bike, hike, and do all kinds of messy crafts with her 6-year-old.  

OCTOBER

Dan Krueger is the new Senior Digital Integrations Manager. Dan will be managing the various integration points in our digital ecosystem – all the points where applications like the mobile app, check-in app, and account site link up with databases and other backend processes (APIs, etc.). He will also be managing a small team, with both Patrick Stewart and Madison Kuhn reporting to him. Over the next couple months, he’ll be looking to ensure efficiency in our development processes, stability across our applications, and better collaboration across teams. 

Dan’s background is in mortgage software/FinTech, where he has been a Lead Engineer and other roles for over 10 years. He’s really excited about leaving the mundane world of mortgages to join SkiCo! Dan will be working remotely from Arvada, CO, but you can expect to see him up here about once a month– he will be working from the Riverside office. He’s a snowboarder, loves rock climbing, traveling, board games, and playing/making video games.

Ilker Akbulut is the new F&B Manager at Limelight Aspen. Ilker has fantastic experience in F&B; he spent the past 7 years San Diego, CA. Ilker worked at Marriott, Westin, and Paradise Point Resort  & Spa, in Outlet Supervisor and F&B Manager roles. Since 2018 he worked with the Cohn Restaurant Group leading their Sea180 Coastal Tavern and The Melting Pot Gaslamp restaurants. Ilker is an expert in the field; he successfully led his teams through massive changes (Covid) and staffing challenges by introducing structure, continuous training, and innovative strategies.

SEPTEMBER

Jennifer Belmont has been hired as the new General Manager of Ajax Tavern.  Jennifer most recently was the Director of Restaurants/Bars here at the St. Regis, Aspen.  Prior to the St. Regis Jennifer spent time as the Director of F&B Operations at Brush Creek Ranch in Saratoga, WY and running the F&B program at the Silverado Resort & Spa in Napa Valley.

 AUGUST

Evan Twombly is joining us as the Director of Benefits.  Evan has worked in benefits in various roles for more than 10 years and is passionate about the ski industry.  When he is not on the ski slopes he enjoys hiking and spending time with his kids and wife.

Madison has been hired as a QA Analyst, working on the Digital IT team. She is new to the valley, moving from Boulder, but it has been a long time dream of hers to be here and she couldn’t be more excited. Madison enjoys hiking, biking, running, skiing, and photography, and will generally say yes to any outdoor activity. She also enjoys a good Monday crossword and meeting new people, so feel free to say hi!

Madison will be supporting our ski apps through testing new features/improvements in development and tier 2 support for production apps, including the mobile app, account portal, and check-in app. She has over 5 years of experience in QA for a wide range of applications, so we’ll be putting her background and expertise to good use.

Pro tip: ask to help Beta test our mobile app in order to join Madison on the hill this winter to test our stats tracking, geofence notifications, etc. (aka, go skiing).

 JULY

Maite Muse joins the Digital IT Team as a Digital Product Manager for the Aspen Snowmass mobile application. Maite comes from an AgTech background where she spent time working on mobile applications for cows, or what you could call “Facebook for Cows.” She knows that our organization requires technology to support near round-the-clock operations and that individual user behavior can tell a whole lot about a business as a whole, kind of like a farm. You’ll catch her strapping into her snowboard as fast as possible this winter, trying to keep up with her team of skiers.

Eric Sincek has been hired as the Front Office Manager of Limelight Aspen. Eric has over 5 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He started his career as a Luxury travel consultant then moved to the Heathman Hotel and the Bidwell Hotel in Portland, where he was Front Office Manager during the hotel’s renovation. Eric’s Front Office experience, his passion and enthusiasm for hospitality and his excellent team work skills are an excellent addition to the Limelight team.

Cassidy Bartolo recently joined the Talent Acquisition Team as a Coordinator and will be helping with recruiting and screening candidates for Rental & Retail, Product Sales & Services and ASPENX. She came to ASC from Oahu, Hawaii and is ready to trade the waves for some powder this winter. She’s passionate about all things outdoors from climbing, hiking to snowboarding and wants to help others fall in love with the lifestyle too. It is her first year of many more to come with Aspen Skiing Company.

 

 JUNE

A warm welcome to Gareth Jones, VP of Construction for the Hospitality Development Team. Gareth will be charged with managing and executing construction in new projects as well as renovations. Gareth spent the last 20 years with Gardiner and Theobald, an independent construction and property consultancy firm, where he has been recognized for his leadership while managing multi-million dollar projects in retail, commercial office, and hospitality sectors. Gareth will be working remotely out of California with regular visits to our home office, and he starts on May 26th.

The Residences at The Little Nell recently welcomed new employees to their staff this summer.

Otilio Avila has joined the Engineering Team. He’s lived in the Roaring Fork Valley for 20 years and has extensive experience with previous positions at the Aspen Meadows and the Ritz Carlton. He loves road biking and looks forward to getting out on his bike.

 

 

 

 

Joseph Foster has degrees in Biomedical Sciences and Chemistry from Missouri State. Dreams of becoming a doctor went out the window after a trip to Aspen. He first joined the Little Nell team and has now moved over to the Residences as concierge. He looks forward to hiking the trails this summer.

 

 

 

Vincent Crognale joined the Guest Services team in April. Having relocated from Miami, where he worked in property management and massage, he took his first every ski lesson just before the mountains closed.

 

 

 

 

Carly Switzer is the new Assistant Manager for IRD. Prior to joining the team, she spent time in hospitality in a variety of capacities at fine establishments such as the Hotel Jerome, Snowmass Vacations, and the Viceroy.

 

 

 

 

Wallace Rocha is our newest team member on the overnight shift. He and his wife are from Brazil and travel to different states and countries every year or two to experience a new culture and environment. He has lived in Australia, Portugal, Italy and Hawaii. In Colorado he keeps busy by hiking, swimming running and skateboarding.  He hopes to camp at Conundrum Springs and see as much nature as possible. Working in a fun environment, with a  great team is what motivates him. Wallace said when he leaves Colorado (and we hope that is not soon), he wants to move somewhere tropical and learn to surf.

 

 

Eliot Schoenhoff is from Charlotte, North Carolina.  He worked at several hotels in the Carolinas and was looking to live somewhere new and exciting.  After being in Colorado for just a few weeks, he has already been very pleased with his choice to move out west. This summer he is looking forward to mountain biking, white water rafting and hiking Mount Sopris.  He is enjoying his team and the culture on property.  He loves working at a residential property where he is really able to get to know the owners and provide personalized service

 

 

Malachy McAdams grew up in Colorado Springs and Boston. He chose to move to Aspen to live in the mountains and enjoy the outdoor activities. He is an avid mountain biker and loves the trails in Snowmass. This summer he plans on hiking Lost Man Loop and Twin Lakes. He said RLN immediately felt like home when he was able to talk about Boston with a repeat guest who is also from the back-bay area. His most memorable highlight so far has been receiving hand written thank you notes from owners.

 

 

Colton Bishop is a Junior at Auburn University, majoring in Agriculture Business Economics and Commercial Real Estate. He grew up in Winter Park, Florida. Since he spent many years in a relatively flat state he wanted to experience the mountains. He is thrilled to be here. He plans to hike and fly fish this summer. He really likes that the team gets along well with each other and spends time outside of work with everyone. He has found the owners to be so gracious and was quite pleased when one brought the team steak and potatoes late one evening.

 

 

Logan Kemp grew up locally in Basalt, Colorado. He is a graduating senior at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, majoring in Management. He hopes to run his own hotel one day. Working outside, in Guest Services is one of the reasons he enjoys the Residences at The Little Nell. Hiking and running are his two favorite activities to do in Aspen. This summer he wants to hike to Crested Butte in both directions. We hope that Logan will return to RLN after he finishes his last semester this December.

 

 

Iris joins us from The Brown Palace Hotel in Denver. Iris brings a diverse skill set with her.  Prior to having worked in Sales, Marketing and Events at the Brown, Iris enjoyed stints as a Production Producer and Manager at NBC Universal and Lionsgate.

Ellen Williams has joined ASC as the new Communications Assistant Manager. Ellen spent the last two winters working in our call center, so she can handle pretty much anything and bring a thorough understanding of our organization. Ellen hails from Minnetonka, Minnesota, so if you want to talk hockey, hot dish, the Packers (er Vikings) or Schmidt beer, she’s the gal. An avid skier, former soccer player, newbie downhill biker, and rumored guitar player, Ellen joins Hannah Dixon and Lollie Johns in Communications at the ABC. Stop by to say hello!

Donald Johnson is the new F&B manager at the Limelight Snowmass. He recently worked at the W hotel in Aspen where he led the F&B team successfully for the past 2 years. Before that he was the General Manager at Fox Restaurant Concepts for more than a year and General Manger at Mendocino Farms for more than 5 years. He has a strong passion for the hospitality industry and enjoys taking care of others. Donald strongly believes that sharing knowledge and developing staff lead to success.

 MARCH

ASC welcomes new Director of Benefits and Payroll, Brian Kalina. Brian has over eleven years of experience in benefits and general HR. He is a certified professional of Human Resources who graduated from Marist College with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration where he was the ski team captain. He is passionate about the mountains! He most recently served as VP of HR for Coalition Greenwich, a global company based in Stamford, CT, working remotely out of Denver. He has been an HR Director and Global Benefits Leader. He will be working remotely out of Denver with frequent travel here to the Highlands office.

Britta Briscoe was hired as Social Media Manager, Tory Smith was hired as Ecommerce Manager, and Kristen Whitaker was hired as Marketing Director. They can be found in the lower floor of the ABC. Stop by and say hello!

 FEBRUARY, 2022

Meagan holds a bachelor’s degree, her SHRM-CP certification and 15 years of progressive HR experience with Marriott and Four Seasons in human resources. She and her husband and their five-month-old are relocating from Hawaii. She will serve as the HR representative for our parent company departments and AspenX. (Accounting, Finance, IT, Marketing, Sales, Reservations, etc.)

Bobbie has a long and wonderful history at our company and in our community. Bobbie is the former VP of Marketing at ASC, in addition to many other roles she served in here, including strategy, working with the revenue centers, and in communications. She has also been the International Marketing Director for Fiji Water and an entrepreneur at her own marketing agency working on behalf of many valley-based companies. This past year, she was also an informal advisor to our 75th anniversary campaign, which the team has brought to life in an authentic and inspiring way.

 DECEMBER, 2021

Victoria Ordonez joins Limelight Snowmass at the Director of Operations. She has  managed and opened multiple restaurants in Ecuador, worked as Head Pastry Chef at a Telluride resort, took an internship in Spain to learn from the famous Chef Ferran Adria and Albert Adria. Then Victoria spent three years at Go Galapagos managing hotel, lodging, F&B, and on-board activities for the luxury cruise ship. During the last few years she was consulting and was GM at Huckleberry in Santa Monica, CA.

Victoria has an impressive background, and pairs the experience with a dynamic and kind personality, genuine love for hospitality, and a very caring approach to both internal and external guests. Victoria’s focus will be Food & Beverage during this season. She will bring expertise, focused training, and great ideas and innovation to elevate further our fantastic F&B program. 

 NOVEMBER

Kelly is the new Marketing Manager at Aspen Skiing Company.

Rebecca joins the Aspen Skiing Company as Senior Accountant. She joins us from Vail Resorts in Broomfield, where she held various Accounting responsibilities.   Becca has 15 years of Accounting experience, previously holding positions with McNurlin, Hitchcock & Associates and Surefire Medical both down on the front range.   Becca is a graduate of Meredith College in Raleigh, NC with a BS in Accounting. Outside of work, Becca is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking and swimming.  

Jennifer joins the Global Marketing and Sales Department as the Director of Latin America Sales. She spent the last 17 years developing Latin American business for Vail Resorts and now brings her expertise and experience to our largest international market. She learned Spanish in Puerto Rico when her father’s job relocated there and learned to ski from her grandparents, who were originally from Australia, in Colorado. Her passions include rhino conservation and she’s traveled to South Africa for volunteer work to help raise awareness for rhino conservation.

Nathan Garfield was promoted to Ski Patrol Assistant Director of Snowmass Ski Area. Nathan returns after 5 years away running his construction company. His last role was that of Snow Safety Director and he was with patrol for 14 years. 

Paul  joins the Human Resources Department as Revenue Center Training Manager. He will be supporting implementing the learning management system in a way that best represents the revenue centers’ needs while also building training programs to address gaps and amplify current offerings. 

 

Although Paul Bowman originally wanted to be a garbage collector so that he could ride on the back of the truck, he discovered skiing at age 8 and has been working in the ski industry ever since.  He worked at Aspen Skiing Company as a Ski Pro from 2012-2016 and most recently he served as Manager of Training and Hiring at Keystone Resort. In these positions, he focused on leadership development and instructional design and developed an aptitude for organizing meaningful growth and training opportunities, collaborative team environments, and improved product quality. He joins ASC on his second tour of duty as the new Revenue Center Training Manager and also looks forward to filling in on occasion at S3 with his PSIA background.

Sarah Gross joins us as the new Catering Manager at The Little Nell.

Hannah joins Aspen Skiing Company’s Communications department as Public Relations Manager.

Casey Miller joined Product Sales & Services as Mountain Sales Call Center Manager. She hails from Boston, Massachusetts, and after graduating from college at the University of Vermont, she moved to Snowmass Village for a winter, fell in love with the Roaring Fork Valley and never left!  Casey spent many years teaching and working for the Ski & Snowboard Schools of Aspen Snowmass, the past 5 years as the Treehouse Guest Service Coordinator. Casey lives in Carbondale with her husband and 3 year old daughter Quinn. Casey loves a costume party and any excuse to break out her glue gun as well as to ski, read, cook, camp and road trip and is very excited about the shorter commute to Riverside!

Cynthia Dolbee joins The Little Nell as the new Director of Events. Cynthia brings an impressive resume and incredibly personable and likable style to Aspen from her former home in Southern California.   Cynthia’s prior roles as Assistant Director of Catering at the Four Seasons Los Angeles and as Director of Catering at the Montage Laguna Beach uniquely qualify her to oversee our Event Operations. Her experience as Corporate Director of Catering Sales for Montage Hotels and National Account Manager for Pelican Hill will enhance our Event Sales efforts.  While Cynthia is eminently qualified, it truly is her attitude, style and approachability that made her the ideal fit for us.   

Mark Lehman has joined the Aspen Skiing Company as HR Coordinator! He recently moved here from Minnesota and has jumped right in (to the very deep end). He has worked in HR previously in Corporate Retail and is excited to spend all of his time outside of work skiing and riding his bike. Although Paul Bowman originally wanted to be a garbage collector so that he could ride on the back of the truck, he discovered skiing at age 8 and has been working in the ski industry ever since. He worked at Aspen Skiing Company as a Ski Pro from 2012-2016 and most recently served as Manager of Training and Hiring at Keystone Resort. He previously worked for Vail Resorts as well as Afton Alps, Deer Valley, NZSki Remarks, and NZSki Coronet Peak. In these positions, he focused on leadership development and instructional design and developed an aptitude for organizing meaningful growth and training opportunities, collaborative team environments, and improved product quality. He joins ASC on his second tour of duty as the new Revenue Center Training Manager and also looks forward to filling in on occasion at S3 with his PSIA background.

 OCTOBER

 Rachel joins The Little Nell and Residences at The Little Nell as the new PR & Marketing Coordinator. Rachel grew up on Long Island in New York and graduated from Roger Williams University in Rhode Island. Prior to making the move to Aspen just shy of a month ago, Rachel worked as the Brand Coordinator at Gurney’s Resorts in Montauk, the only year-round luxury hotel in the Hamptons. She is excited to experience Colorado in winter and learn to ski or snowboard our pristine powder. Rachel is an experienced surfer and looks forward to embracing the Aspen lifestyle.

Jennifer Van Gilder has been hired as an Account Director in the Global Marketing and Sales Department, Asia and Canada. With 15 years of experience in sales and marketing for competing ski resorts, she plans to develop new opportunities in Asia and Canada.

Robert joins Snowmass Ski Area as Ski School Program Director.

Hannah joins Aspen Skiing Company as an Inventory Control Analyst.
