Any current Cert 3 Pros is eligible to apply to become a Trainer with the Aspen Training Academy. The skiing and technical understanding standards for being a Trainer are in accordance with PSIA-RM’s RMT qualification. RMT or Trainer qualifications, or recognition as an Examiner from a national association, is generally required for full ratification as a Trainer. New Trainers who have limited experience training instructors and do not hold a recognized training qualification, are generally ratified as Apprentice Trainers. Apprenticeships include mentoring by an experienced Trainer who will outline a plan for development including auditing Training Clinics, and participating in relevant Training Clinics to help acquire an RMT qualification or an international equivalent.
